1. Remove the junction box screws
( 5 6 )
and
lower
the junction box ( 5 9 ) . See Fig 28.
2. Disconnect the motor wires (4b) and the %wire
connector (A) from the motor
start
board (47).

Loosen the strain relief bushing (51). Remove the
power supply cord (50).
4. Install the new cord (50) in the reverse order of
disassembly.
5. Install the junction box. Be sure

leads are
pinched against the motor or by the motor
start
board.

Remove the junction box

2. Remove the nut and rubber
boot
(55).
3. Disconnect the black wires from the
ONOFF
switch (52) and remove the switch. See Fig 28.
4. Place the ring terminal of the ground wire ( 5 3 )
switch
so
the internal tab of the anti-rotation ring
over the barrel of the new swltch. Install the
( 5 4 ) engages with the vertical groove in the
threads of the switch, and the external
taben-
gages with the blind hole (C) of the junction box.
5. Powder the Inside of the rubber boot
( 5 5 ) with
talcum, then shake the excess out of the boot.
Install the nut and rubber boot and tighten.
6. Reconnect the ONOFF swltch black wires.
7. Install the junction box. Be sure no leads are
pinched against the motor or by the motor
start
board.
