BATTERY
WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT THE AC ADAPTOR TO THE METER IF A 9V
ALKALINE BATTERY IS INSTALLED.
For continuous use the AC/DC Adaptor/Recharger.
For portable operation use the 8.4V NiCad battery.
Replace batteries using the following procedure:
Close the case and insert a coin or flat screwdriver into the slot at the top of the meter.
Snap the cover in the direction of the arrow and then open the cover of the meter.
Remove the battery cover and connect the snap terminals to the battery terminals.
Close the battery cover firmly.
Charge the battery for 24 to 48 hours before its first use. An overnight charge will enable
continuous use for approximately 45 minutes. A full charge will provide one hour of
continuous use.
Turning the meter OFF when not in use will prolong battery life.
A 9V alkaline battery may be used in place of the rechargeable (8.4V) NiCad battery that
comes with the unit.
A flashing "F" or "C" on the LED display indicates a low battery condition.
