TRANSPORTING ITEMS IN THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT

Always arrange the items to be
carried so that their longest side is
against the seatback of the rear
bench seat (which will be the case
with normal loads) or the folded
bench seat (which will be the case
with the bulkiest loads).
Always position
heaviest items directly
on the floor. If fitted,
use the lashing points
located on the
compartment floor. The luggage
should be loaded in such a way
that no item will be thrown
forward and strike the occupants
if the driver has to brake
suddenly. Fasten the rear seat
belts, even if the seats are not
occupied.
