Troubleshooting Display Problems If the screen above does not show up after proVEOS is turned on, it is most likely caused by the display’s inability to support the required 1024 x 768 resolution output by proVEOS. Some older projectors may only support resolutions up to 800 x 600.

When proVEOS is used for the first time, an installation wizard automatically begins to guide you through all the settings required to configure proVEOS for use. Complete all steps in the installation process before using proVEOS. Click Continue to proceed to the first installation step.
Step 1: IP Configuration This step configures the TCP/IP settings for proVEOS to connect to a network and accept connections from clients to make presentations over the network. The following settings are available: Gateway name: Name of the proVEOS gateway on the network. The default is proVEOS.

Testing the proVEOS Client This section covers the steps necessary to confirm that clients are able to present on proVEOS successfully. This will require that the client be able to reach the IP address of proVEOS gateway via its connected network.

At this point, the client will make an outgoing network connection to proVEOS. This may trigger firewall software to display a warning prompt. It is recommended to choose the option that will allow the proVEOS client software to always be able to make such connections without any future prompting.

Diagnosing Login Problems If connections to proVEOS fail, use the network diagnostics tool to troubleshoot the problem. In the login window, click the diagnostics icon located at the bottom-left corner of the window.

“Display Me” Shows a Blank Screen Clicking the “Display Me” button in the proVEOS client results in a blank screen on the projector. This is caused by certain ports being firewalled such that the captured display information could not be sent to proVEOS successfully.
