[Even if you delete recorded content from the DVD-R, DVD-R DL, +R or +R DL there is no
increase in disc space. Available disc space on DVD-RW (DVD-Video format) or +RW
increases only when the last recorded title is deleted.]

eThere is no compatible folder in this unit.
eThe card is not inserted. If this message is displayed with a compatible card already
inserted, turn off the unit, remove and then re-insert the card.
eThe card inserted is not compatible or the card format does not match.
eCreate space by deleting any unnecessary items.
oDelete one or more items registered on the copy list to ensure that the "Total list size" is not
exceeded.
eThere may be a problem with the disc. Press [_, OPEN/CLOSE] on the main unit to remove
it and check it for scratches or dirt. (The unit turns off automatically after you open the tray.)
oThe unit cannot record on the disc you inserted. Insert a DVD-RAM or unfinalized DVD-R,
DVD-RW (DVD-Video format) or +R.
oYou cannot directly to DVD-R DL, and +R DL discs with this unit. You must first record to
the HDD, and then copy from the HDD to disc.
oYou inserted an unformatted DVD-RAM, DVD-RW +R, +R DL or +RW.
• I_i'ifll _ It is not possible to copy when there is not enough free space on the HDD or
when the total number of the recorded titles on the HDD and the titles to be copied are
greater than 500.
Delete unwanted titles from the HDD.
• The DivX VOD content has zero remaining plays. You cannot play it.
oThe operation is prohibited by the unit or disc.
cA video cassette is not inserted when recording programs. Insert a video cassette with an
accidental erasure prevention tab.
cA video cassette without the accidental erasure prevention tab is inserted when recording
programs. Use a video cassette with an accidental erasure prevention tab.
eThe VHS plays back while recording on DVD or HDD. You can watch the VHS playback by
connect to the DVDNHS COMMON terminals.
Please check write protect tab
on the VHS cassette.

To watch the VHS playback,
connect a TV to DVD/VHS
COMMON OUT terminal at the
back of the unit, and select the
appropriate input on the TV.
