2. Remove the bracket screw and metal expansion slot cover.
3. If you have a newer, lower-profile computer, you will need to use the
smaller mounting bracket that comes with the adapter. To install it do the
following:
a. Remove the mounting screws that attach the bracket to the adapter.
b. Remove the standard bracket.
c. Position the low-profile bracket on the bracket, aligning the screw holes
in the bracket with the holes in the PCI adapter.
d. Insert the two screws and carefully tighten the screws. Do not
overtighten.
4. Insert the card-edge connector, P1, into the empty PCI bus connector. Press
the SCSI adapter into place and secure it with the bracket screw.
Step 5. Terminating the SCSI bus
SCSI devices connect in series to one another on a SCSI bus in a daisy-chain
fashion. For the devices to work properly, SCSI termination is required at both
ends. All devices that are between the ends of a SCSI chain must have their
termination devices removed or disabled.
The internal SCSI cable that comes with this option has an LVD SCSI
termination device at the end of the cable farthest from the adapter. All SCSI
devices that are connected to the internal cable between the SCSI adapter and
the termination device at the end of the cable must have termination devices
removed or disabled. Any terminators on internal SCSI devices must be
