If the power-on password
is not known, clearing
CMOS will disable the
power-on password. To
clear CMOS, complete the
following steps:
1. Complete the
preparation for
disassembly.
2.
Remove the
chassis.
3. To disable the
password, move the
jumper
at J3 from 2-3 to 1-2.
4. Wait for 10 seconds.
5. Move the jumper at J3
from 1-2 to 2-3.
6. Replace the chassis
and perform the
appropriate
troubleshooting.
