WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause
product damage.
WARNING:
To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the
battery pack from the charger when cleaning or perform-
ing any maintenance.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.

MAINTENANCE

CHANGING THE FUSE
See Figure 3, page 8.
The 12 Volt adaptor contains a 250 Volt, 8 Amp, 5 x 20 mm
fuse to protect the adaptor and charger from unexpected
power surges.
To replace the fuse:
 Unscrew the fuse cap on the end of the 12 Volt adaptor.
 Install the replacement fuse. If the spring comes out, be
sure to reinsert it before installing the new fuse.
 Thread the fuse cap back onto the adaptor. Tighten se-
curely.
STORAGE
Store indoors in a dry, locked-up place, out of the reach of
children, with the battery pack removed and power cord
disconnected. Keep away from corrosive agents such as
garden chemicals and de-icing salts.
