6.2 Removing the rechargeable battery

6.3 Disposing of the window vacuum cleaner, rechargeable battery and
charger
The window vacuum cleaner, its integrated rechargeable battery and the charger must
not be disposed of with domestic waste!
First remove the rechargeable battery, Chapter 6.2, "Removing the rechargeable
battery".
Dispose of the window vacuum cleaner, the removed rechargeable battery and the
charger separately at the respective collection points.

WARNING:
Risk of injury! Before you begin to remove
the rechargeable battery, make sure that the
charger is not connected and the window
vacuum cleaner is switched off.
1. Operate the window vacuum cleaner until
the rechargeable battery is completely flat.
2. Unfasten the 4 cross-head screws on the
base of the window vacuum cleaner (Fig. 6/
1).
3. Remove the base plate (Fig. 6/2).
4. Unfasten the rechargeable battery's plug
connection (Fig. 6/3).
WARNING:
Risk of injury if the rechargeable battery is
handled improperly!
Never short-circuit the rechargeable bat-
tery, i.e. never touch both poles simultane-
ously, especially with electrically conductive
objects.
Never take the rechargeable battery
apart, never deform it and never expose it to
high temperatures.
Improper handling can cause liquid to
leak from the rechargeable battery. Avoid
any contact with such liquid.
5. Dispose of the rechargeable battery sepa-
rately at a local authority collection point
once it can no longer be used.
6. Re-attach the base plate (Fig. 6/2) and the
4 cross-head screws (Fig. 6/1).
