Dear Customer,

please note that the operation of the
appliances
A 2204 / A 2504
plastic container
A 2254 Me / A 2554 Me
stainless steel container is identical.
Differences only refer to the accessories
and the container model.
Please read and comply with these
instructions prior to the initial operation of
your appliance. Retain the instructions for
use for future reference or for subsequent
possessors.

Appropriate use

The appliance is intended for use as a wet
and dry vacuum cleaner in accordance with
the descriptions and safety instructions in
these operating instructions.
Furthermore, the appliance provides of an
additional connection for the blowing
function.
Use this appliance in private areas only,
e.g. in the household, workroom or in
the car.
Use this appliance only with the
accessories and spare parts permitted
by Kärcher.
Any other use is considered improper. The
manufacturer is not liable for any resulting
injury/damage; the user alone bears the
risk.

General safety notes

The appliance is not intended for use by
young children or infirm persons without
supervision.
Young children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
Never leave the machine unattended if the
master switch is on.

Electrical connection

The voltage shown on the model plate must
concur with that of the electricity mains
supply.
Danger of electric shock!
Never grasp the mains plug with wet hands.
Check the connection lead and mains plug
for damage before each use. Have a
damaged connection lead replaced
immediately by an authorised Customer
Service point or by an electrician.
When using the machine in wet rooms, e.g.
in the bathroom, only connect it to sockets
which are connected in series with a ground
fault circuit interrupter. In case of doubt,
consult an electrician.
Danger of explosion!
Never use to appliance to vacuum
explosive liquids, flammable gases,
explosive dusts, or undiluted acids or
solvents!
These include benzene, paint thinner,
acetone, heating oil, undiluted acids and
solvents, aluminium and magnesium
dust.
These may produce explosive vapours
or mixtures when agitated by the suction
air.
In addition, these substances may
cause the appliance materials to
corrode.
Do not use the appliance to vacuum burning
or smouldering objects.
When using the appliance in areas of
potential risk (e.g. filling stations), the
pertinent safety guidelines must be
observed. It is not permitted to use the
appliance in potentially explosive locations.

Environmental protection

Please arrange for the proper disposal of
the packaging
The packaging material can be
recycled. Please do not place the
packaging into the ordinary refuse
