Safety notes

Before first use of the machine read these
operating instructions and comply with them.
Keep these operating instructions in a safe place
for later use or for a subsequent owner.

Appropriate use

Use the appliance exclusively
– with a filled water filter container
– for non-commercial purposes,
– with accessories and replacement parts
authorised by Kärcher.
The appliance is intended for use as a dry
vacuum cleaner in accordance with the
descriptions and safety instructions in these
operating instructions.
Optionally, appliance can also vacuum liquids.

General safety notes

The appliance is not intended for use by young
children or infirm persons without supervision.
Young children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
Never leave the machine unattended if the
master switch is on.

Electrical connection

The voltage shown on the model plate must
concur with that of the electricity mains supply.
Danger of electric shock!
Never grasp the mains plug with wet hands.
Check the connection lead and mains plug for
damage before each use. Have a damaged
connection lead replaced immediately by an
authorised Customer Service point or by an
electrician.
When using the machine in wet rooms, e.g. in the
bathroom, only connect it to sockets which are
connected in series with a ground fault circuit
interrupter. In case of doubt, consult an
electrician.
Danger of explosion!
Never use to appliance to vacuum explosive
liquids, flammable gases, explosive dusts, or
undiluted acids or solvents!
These include petrol, paint thinner, and heating
oil, which may form explosive vapours or
mixtures when agitated by the suction air. This
applies equally to acetone, undiluted acids and
solvents, and aluminium and magnesium dusts.
Furthermore, these substances may cause
appliance materials to corrode.
Do not use the appliance to vacuum burning or
smouldering objects.
When using the appliance in areas of potential
risk (e.g. filling stations), the pertinent safety
guidelines must be observed. It is not permitted
to use the appliance in potentially explosive
locations.

Environmental protection

Disposal of packaging
The packaging is recyclable. Please dispose of it
at a recycling facility.
Disposing of the appliance
You can obtain information about environmentally
correct disposal from your Kärcher dealer.

Operating the cleaner

Preparation

Connect the suction hose.
Connect the telescopic suction tube and floor
nozzle.

Attaching the accessory holder

The accessory holder is used for storing the

furniture brush and upholstery nozzle.
Connect the handle to the telescopic suction
tube.
