Electric Impact Shredder – GLEKS 2440
Study your Impact Shredder and be familiar with its parts and
operation.
7. Safe operation
– The safety, working and maintenance notes of the
manufacturer as well as the information specified in the
technical data must be complied with.
– Applicable accident prevention regulations and other generally
recognised safety rules must be complied with.
– The operator must be informed about factors affecting the
release of debris and dust, e.g. the type of wood being cut &
dust in dry conditions.
– Wear a dust mask in dry conditions to prevent dust inhalation
every time you perform any work.
– Before start-up, the protective guard must be correctly fitted
and the impact shredder should never be operated without
the protective guard.
– Always position yourself in a stable upright position when
working with an impact shredder.
– Guide the material into the impact shredder properly.
– Never stress the impact shredder so that it comes to a stop.
– Make sure that any dust and debris are not caught around the
outside of the ejector chute
within the discharge area; this could prevent the machine
being able to discharge correctly and result in material
recoiling through the in-feed opening. Risk of injury by
catapulted material from the loading tunnel inlet (See Fig. 1).
