    Genie 2 is considered a “Headless Server.” A Headless Server is a satellite receiver that has no connection or output to a TV (local display) on its own and is dedicated to providing services to its Genie clients (Genie Mini set-top boxes) and RVU TV clients.

    Genie 2 has an Access Card in the Rear Panel (ref: Figure 3). The Access Card will be pre-installed in the Genie 2. The Access Card is paired to the Genie 2 (with a Receiver ID) and can be swapped out with a new Access Card if necessary.

    2. Thermal Warning On-Screen Display Text: “Thermal Warming” Cause: If there is something blocking the Genie 2, it will restrict the airfl ow and cause the Genie 2 to overheat and you’ll see this On-Screen Display. Troubleshooting: Check and make sure that nothing is blocking the airfl ow to the Genie 2. The graphic in the On-Screen Display will inform you of the position the Genie 2 should be placed in.
