3. Press the e ink cartridge replacement button. The print head
moves to the center, which is the ink cartridge replacement
position, the P power light begins flashing, and the
light also begins to flash or remains on. To discover which
cartridge requires replacing, refer to "Using the printer's
control panel" on page 7-1, or check EPSON Status Monitor 3
(for Windows 98, 95, 2000, NT 4.0) or EPSON StatusMonitor
(for Macintosh).

Replacing Ink Cartridges
Caution:
Do not move the print head by hand, as this may damage the
printer. Always press the e ink replacement button to move
it.
