7. REC Y Current Adjustment (VC-214 board)

Adjust the Y FM signal recording current.

Preparations only for the model without REC switch:
1) Select page: 0, address: 01, and set data: 01.
2) Select page: D, address: 14, after memorizing the data, set the
bit value of bit1 to "1". (Refer to "4-3, 3. Bit value
discrimination" of "5-4. Service Mode").
3) Select page: D, address: 15, after memorizing the data, set the
bit value of bit7 to "0".
4) Insert a tape, and set to recording mode. (Use the wireless
remote commander of 8mm VCR.)
Adjusting method:
1) Insert a tape, and set to recording mode.
2) Select page: 0, address: 01, and set data: 01.
3) Select page: F, address: 7C, after note down the data , set data:
00, and press the PAUSE button of the adjustment remote
commander.
4) Select page: F, address: 85, after note down the data , set data:
00, and press the PAUSE button of the adjustment remote
commander.
5) Select page: 2, address: 01, set data: 41, and press the PAUSE
button of the adjustment remote commander.
6) Select page: F, address: 74 , change the data and set the Y signal
level (A) to the specified value.
7) Press the PAUSE button of the adjustment remote commander.
8) Select page: F, address: 74 , and read the data (D
9) Calculate the adjustment data from the following equations,
and input each adjustment address.

Note: After setting each data, be sure to press the PAUSE button of
the adjustment remote commander.
10) Write the following data in page: F, address: 77 to 7A .

11) Select page: F, address: 7C, set the data noted down at step 3),
and press the PAUSE button of the adjustment remote
commander.
12) Select page: F, address: 85, set the data noted down at step 4),
and press the PAUSE button of the adjustment remote
commander.
13) Select page: 2, address: 01, set data: 00, and press the PAUSE
button of the adjustment remote commander.
14) Select page: 0, address: 01, and set data: 00.
