measures reduce the risk of starting the
power tool accidentally.

Store idle power tools out of the reach of
children and do not allow persons
unfamiliar with the power tool or these
instructions to operate the power tool.
Power tools are dangerous in the hands of
untrained users.

Maintain power tools. Check for
misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts and any other
condition that may affect the power
tool's operation. If damaged, have the
power tool repaired before use. Many
accidents are caused by poorly main-
tained power tools.

Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
Properly maintained cutting tools with
sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind
and are easier to control.
g)
Use the power tool, accessories and tool
bits etc. in accordance with these
instructions, taking into account the
working conditions and the work to be
performed. Use of the power tool for
operations different from those intended
could result in a hazardous situation.
5) Battery tool use and care
a)
Recharge only with the charger specifi ed
by the manufacturer. A charger that is
suitable for one type of battery pack may
create a risk of fi re when used with
another battery pack.
b)
Use power tools only with specifi cally
designated battery packs. Use of any
other battery packs may create a risk of
injury and fi re.
c)
When battery pack is not in use, keep it
away from other metal objects, like
paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or
other small metal objects, that can make
a connection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery terminals
together may cause burns or a fi re.
d)
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be
ejected from the battery; avoid contact.
If contact accidentally occurs, fl ush with
water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally
seek medical help. Liquid ejected from
the battery may cause irritation or burns.

6) Service

Have your power tool serviced by a
qualifi ed repair person using only
identical replacement parts. This will
ensure that the safety of the power tool is
maintained.

Hold the machine with a fi rm grip. High

driving in and loosening screws.
Secure the workpiece. A workpiece

clamped with clamping devices or in a vice
is held more secure than by hand.

Avoid unintentional switching on. Ensure
the On/Off switch is in the off position
before inserting battery pack. Carrying the
power tool with your fi nger on the On/Off
switch or inserting the battery pack into
power tools that have the switch on invites
accidents.
Do not open the battery. Danger of short-

circuiting.
u
Protect the battery against heat, e. g.,
also against continuous sun irradiation
and fi re. There is danger of explosion.
u
In case of damage and improper use of the
battery, vapours may be emitted. Provide
for fresh air and seek medical help in case
of complaints. The vapours can irritate the
respiratory system.

When the battery is defective, liquid can
escape and come into contact with
adjacent components. Check any parts
concerned. Clean such parts or replace
them, if required.

Use the battery only in conjunction with your
Bosch power tool. This measure alone protects
the battery against dangerous overload.
Functional Description
Read all safety warnings and all instruc-
tions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock,
fi re and/or serious injury.
While reading the operating instructions, unfold
the graphics page for the machine and leave it
open.

Montagem
Carregar a bateria (veja fi gura A)
Só utilizar os carregadores que constam na

página de acessórios. Só estes carregado-
res são apropriados para as baterias de íons
de lítio utilizados para a sua ferramenta
elétrica.
Nota: A bateria é fornecida parcialmente
carregada. Para assegurar a completa potên-
cia da bateria, a bateria deverá ser carregada
completamente no carregador antes da primeira
utilização.
A bateria de íons de lítio pode ser carregada
a qualquer momento, sem que a sua vida útil
seja reduzida. Uma interrupção do processo de
carga não danifi ca a bateria.
A bateria de íons de lítio está protegida por
"Electronic Cell Protection (ECP)" contra des-
carga total. A ferramenta elétrica é desligada
através de um disjuntor de proteção, logo que
a bateria estiver descarregada. O acessório não
se movimenta mais.
Não continuar a pressionar o
ATENÇÃO
interruptor de ligar-desligar
após o desligamento automático da ferramenta
elétrica. A bateria pode ser danifi cada.
Para retirar a bateria 4, pressionar as teclas de
destravamento 3 e puxar a bateria da ferramen-
ta elétrica por baixo. Não empregar força.
A bateria está equipada com uma monitorização
de temperatura NTC, que só permite uma carga
na faixa de temperatura entre 0 °C e 45 °C.
Desta forma é alcançada uma alta vida útil da
bateria.
Observar a indicação sobre a eliminação de
forma ecológica.

Não utilizar pontas de aparafusar duplas
com um comprimento superior a 25 mm.
Colocar a ponta de aparafusar 1 diretamente na
fi xação da ferramenta 2.

Só utilizar baterias de íons de lítio Bosch
com a tensão indicada no logotipo da sua
ferramenta elétrica. A utilização de outras
baterias pode levar a lesões e perigo de
incêndio.
Nota: A utilização de baterias não apropriados
para a ferramenta elétrica, pode levar a erros
de funcionamento ou a danos na ferramenta
elétrica.
Colocar a bateria de sentido 6 no centro, para evi-
tar que a ferramenta seja ligada involuntariamente.
Colocar a bateria carregada 4 no punho até engatar
perceptivelmente e estar alinhado ao punho.
Ajustar o sentido de rotação (veja fi gura C)
Com a bateria de sentido de rotação 6 é possí-
vel alterar o sentido de rotação da ferramenta
elétrica. Com o interruptor de ligar-desligar
pressionado 5 isto no entanto não é possível.
Rotação à direita: Pressionar o comutador do
sentido de rotação 6 completamente para a
esquerda, para atarraxar parafusos.
Rotação à esquerda: Pressionar o comutador do
sentido de rotação completamente para a direita
6 para soltar ou desatarraxar parafusos.
Ligar e desligar
Para colocar em funcionamento a ferramenta
elétrica deverá pressionar o interruptor de ligar-
desligar 5 e manter pressionado.
A lâmpada 7 ilumina-se quando o interruptor de
ligar-desligar 5 está parcialmente ou completa-
mente pressinado e ilumina o local de trabalho
se a luz ambiente não for sufi ciente.
Para desligar a ferramenta elétrica, deverá soltar
novamente o interruptor de ligar-desligar 5.
