The Admin Console is the graphical user interface (GUI) application used to
manage your Sidewinder appliance from a Windows-based computer. The
Admin Console is the primary user interface for the Sidewinder appliance. This
workstation can be the system you used to run the Quick Start Wizard, or a
different management station also installed with the Sidewinder Management
Tools.
Note:
You cannot connect to a 6.x version of the Sidewinder appliance using a 7.x
Admin Console.
Using the information you provided in the Quick Start Wizard, do the following
to connect to your Sidewinder appliance:
1 From a Windows desktop on your internal network, select
> Secure Computing > Sidewinder 7 Admin Console > Admin Console
2 Add an appliance to the Admin Console tree.

b Enter the appliance name and IP address, then click
3 In the left pane, select your appliance icon. In the right pane, click
Tip: If a message appears stating "Failed to connect to SSL server," the appliance
may not have finished rebooting. Try connecting again in a few minutes. If you are
still unable to connect to the appliance, see Appendix B, Tips and Troubleshooting.
4 Enter the administrator user name and click
