Regularly check the power cord for excessive wear or damage to avoid possible fire / electrical hazards. Stop [Circuitry Access] Do not touch any parts / circuitry with a high heat factor.

    1-1. Overview The USF-1043FS is a plug-in module to be mounted into a USF-212S frame. The USF-1043FS has been developed as a frame / line synchronizer that supports 3G / HD / SD-SDI taking full advantage of the latest digital technologies.

    To be connected with devices that can accept SDI signals. (*1) Select a genlock signal used in USF-1043FS. (Refer to Sec. 4-2-1. “System Settings”) (*2) Input the same signal into SDI IN 1 and 2, if using USF-1043FS changeover function.

    4. WEB GUI Start the web browser on the PC and connect to USF-1043FS installed in the USF-212S frame. The following window will open. Refer to the USF-212S operation manual for how to connect to USF-1043FS from the web browser.

    SDI 1 Changeover as Disable to select a video Primary SDI 2 signal. SDI 1 Source Slot XX (XX is slot number) Rear Input: Selects the input signal from SDI 1 or SDI 2 on the rear side of USF-1043FS.
  • Page 11 (XX is slot number) Frame Interconnect: The slot number changes according to the slot number in which the USF-1043FS is installed. Refer to ”Frame Interconnect Slot Display List” for the slot number to be displayed. Selects a video signal to be processed in Primary USF-1043FS.

    4-2-2. System Phase/Video Position Refresh: Updates the screen into the latest. Unity: Resets a parameter to default value. Clicking + increases the setting by a minimum step.     4-3. Audio Sampling Rate Converter Settings Navigate to the SRC window by clicking Audio, then SRC. Item Default Choice Description Sets the SRC circuit to pass or by-pass audio signals per channel pair. Auto: Sets the SRC circuit to pass signals. However, NON-PCM audio signals will be by-passed the SRC circuit automatically.

The USF-1043FS fades out audio or resets the delay circuit when a status change (SDI signal input interruption, signal switchover (by a router, etc.)) is detected. Faulty ancillary data in normal audio signals may also be detected as status changes.

    Displays the SDI signal format input from a frame bus. From Slot * The displayed Slot number differs according to the slot in which the USF-1043FS is installed. Refer to “Frame Interconnect Slot Display List Current Source Displays the signal format set for Primary Source in Video System.

    Load Default Event1 to 10 When Default is loaded, only the parameters returns to their default settings. Saves an event to the USF-1043FS. Select an Save Event1 to 10 Event1 to 10 event from pulldown menu and click Save. * Trap settings are not included in Event Settings / Savings.

    4-14-2. Import / Export USF-1043FS settings can be saved as .dat files on a PC and also loaded into USF-1043FS from the saved data.  Saving parameters Clicking the Export button under the Parameter area saves Video/Audio/Trap parameters on the PC in .dat format.

    4-15. Trap Settings Navigate to the Trap Settings window by clicking Trap. To enable traps to be sent to the SNMP manager from USF-1043FS when any changes occur, select Enable. Selecting Disable stops traps from being sent even if a change occurs.
