(3) ADJUSTMENT(SLA-358V : VIDEO)
1) ALC
Upon delivery, each lens is pre-set for average metering of the video signal
level. Metering can be adjusted continuously between the peak and average
methods by simply turning the ALC variable resistor towards the approproate
position as follows:
Picture on Monitor
Highest Contrast
Lowest Contrast
When adjusting the ALC variable resistor have no effect on picture quality, the
object is suited for Average Metering, In such case, set the ALC to the
Average(A) position and then adjust the video signal level using the LEVEL
Make sure to connect the RED lead to power supply(+) and SHIELD to
the Ground. Mis-wiring results in improper operation of the lens and
leads to the permanent damage. Especially mis-wiring of SHIELD would
cause the trouble in its operation.
