If yo u r system includes an atom izing hum idifier,
you m ay w a n t to install a s tan dard fu rn a c e filter
b etw e e n the hum idifier and the air c le an e r. This
filter w ould keep th e hum idifier spray's m ineral
deposits fro m collecting on th e air c le an e r. This
filter should be c h e c k e d regularly and ch a n g e d
w hen it show s signs of m ineral or dirt buildup. If
you do not install a filter, you will p robably n eed
to w ash the cells and prefilters m ore often to
rem ove th e m ineral buildup.
If an ultrasonic room hum idifier is used often,
especially if filled with tap (undistilled) w ater, the
cell(s) and prefilter(s) will require m ore frequ ent
w ashin g. A w hite residue will a c c u m u la te on the
cell(s) fro m the m inerals in the w ater. This
residue m ay also contribute to "white dust"
(se e p. 17).
All H o neyw ell w h o le house hum idifiers m ay be
used in a system with the H o neyw ell Electronic
Air C le a n e r w ithout an y additional filters or
sys te m modification.
