If desired, the ozone g en erated by the air clean er
can be reduced by asking you r d ea le r to:
Install an activated carbon filter d o w n stream
of the air c le an e r, or
Adjust the air c le a n e r p ow er supply to
red uce o zo n e production. This adjustm ent
will red uce o zo n e production about 2 0 -2 5
percent, but will also red uce air clean ing
efficiency about 7 -1 0 percent.
W h ite dust is m a d e up of particles that settle out
of the air b efo re th e y get to the return air duct.
Yo u can help p revent this w hite dust from
settling by running your fan constantly. Also:
Be sure the return registers are not blocked
with furniture.
Be sure the d isch arg e ducts a re clean (best
d on e b efore installing the air cle an e r).
Be sure your clothes dryer is v e n te d to the
outside and is not plugged.
If you h ave n ew rugs or d rapes or n ew
w oolen blan kets, b e a w a re th a t th e lint from
th e s e item s will reduce with age.
In n ew or re m o d e led h om es, plaster dust or
paint p igm ent m ay contribute to
but will red uce with tim e.
U se of a humidifier m ay contribute to
dust,
especially if filled with undistilled water.
