The Total Motion Control feature allows real time play-
back of video animations, along with other frame buffer
and Transform effects. These video animations can be
captured in real time from any video source as CMF or
JPEG files through the Video Input Module, or imported
as CMF animations created using Liberty or PC Flip-
book. These files are comprised of a series of Stills simi-
lar to a Cel Animation, and are stored on a SCSI Express
drive, in the form of Chyron Motion Files (CMF), JPEG
Video files, JPEG Key Files, or JPEG Video with Key
files. Playback can be instantaneously triggered from
Message Compose, Multiple Effects, Function Keys,
IMAGESTOR! (CMFs only), Intelligent Interface, and
from within the Total Motion Control Panel.
A CMF display can be as large as one quarter of the
screen. If the system is equipped with CLYPS capable
frame buffers and the CLYPS (JPEG) Option, the JPEG
function allows full-screen recording and playback. In
and Out points for CMFs and JPEGs can be set, as well
as number of loops. Only one CMF animation or JPEG
file can be executed at a time.
At least one SCSI Express drive and one or more SCSI
Express Extended Effects Frame Buffers (EEFBs) or
CLYPS Capable Frame Buffers (CCFBs) are required to
capture and execute CMFs. At least one SCSI Express
drive and one or more CLYPS Capable Frame Buffers are
required to capture and execute JPEGs.
