F or example, S mart Image is on with "Office" profile at V G A input, when switch to DV I
input, the S mart Image will revert to previous profile of DV I.
In the input switching process the "S mart Image" OS D will also show up to present which
profile is selected if "S mart Image" is enabled at that input.
T he S mart Image status will also be stored after the monitor is resumed from AC on/off or
power switch on/off.
3.14.1.5 L inkage between S mart Image OS D and main OS D
A. S ettings within main OS D have linkage with S mart Image OS D.

ii. C ontrast
iii. C olor T emperature
B . B ecause each preset profiles will define default setting of these 3 parameters. Users
can understand what is the value of that in preset profile by open the main OS D.
C . W hen any S martImage Lite profile had been enabled. T he parameters in main OS D
are still available for user to adjust. B ut these adjustments are temporary only. If users
switch to another profile and then go back. T he setting in main OS D will show preset
values of that S martImage profile enabled.
3.14.1.6 P rofile Definitions (s ys tem integrators to input at des ign s tages )
A. Office Work
i. P urpose: Design for general office application, like word processing, S preadsheet
and email. T he screen is dominated by text.
ii. E nhancement point:
1. A little sharpness for increasing the details of e.g. an excel grid.
No other type of enhancement as it won't bring value.
2. C olor temperature remains in 6500°K .
3. B rightness level should be 70%.
4. S mart R esponse set to "Off".
5. S mart C ontrast set to "Off".
B . E ntertainment
i. P urpose: Design for video application, Like Microsoft Media P layer or R eal P layer.
T he screen is dominated by video.
ii. E nhancement P oint:
1. Dynamic contrast enhancement by histogram analysis (DLC ) should be
implemented.
2. S harpness enhanced 90%.
3. C olor enhancement set as the same with V ideo.
4. C olor temperature set to 7500° (B as ed on final P Q s ettings ) (if higher)
