Shell stitch edging.

3. Stitch length dial:
0,5-4
Shell stitch edging.
Turn under the raw edge and
press. Place the fabric right side
up, so that the zigzag part of the
stitch sews just over the folded
edge, pulling the fabric in to form
a shell hem. Trim away excess
fabric close to the stitching line.
Shell stitch produces a tiny shell
hem on lingerie and other fine
garments.
Note:Set when sewing in light
fabric, sew over a piece of paper.

Muschelkante.
Schlagen Sie die Stoffkante
etwa 12 mm um und bUgeln
Sie sie an . Stichlange im
millieren grUnden Bereich .
Schieben Sie den Stoff mit der
rechten Seite nach oben so
unter den NahfuB, daB die
Spitze des Stiches knapp Uber
der umgelegten Kante
einsticht und so den Stoff in
M uschel form ziehl.
Mit diesem Stich nahen Sie
eine kleine Muschelkante auf
feiner Wasche oder anderen
leichen Stoff·en.
