Use of three-step-zigzag.
This is a strong stitch
because as its name implies,
it makes three short stitches
where the normal zigzag
makes only one.
For this reason it is hi ghl y
recommended for overcasting
ail e types of fabrics.
It is also ideal for mending
tears, patching, sewi ng
towelling, patchwork and
attaching flat elastic.

Der Elastik Stich.
Der Elasti kstich ist besonders
strapazierfahig, weil er, anders als
der normale Zickzackstich, auf
gleichem Raum drei Kleine, kurze
Stich naht.
Er empfiehlt sich daher fUr aIle
Uberwendih gsarbeiten an
Stoffkanten, die zum Ausfransen
neigen.
Weiterhin ist der Elastikstich gut
einzusetzen zum Flicken, zu
Patchwork-Arbeiten und zum
Aufnahen von Gummiband.
