Charge battery
To start charging, proceed as follows:

Conservation
The charger changes over automatically to conservation charging once the battery is
charging
fully charged. The charger continuously displays the fully charged symbol (4 bars).
Charging a deep-
If there is nothing on the charger display during test mode, the battery is in deep dischar-
discharge battery
ge. The charger charges deep-discharge batteries by gentle pulses over a long period.
Disconnect battery from vehicle power supply/consumers before charging.
Important! Only reconnect the battery to the vehicle power supply after:

WARNING! Risk of explosion from short circuits and arcs. Before connecting
to/disconnecting from battery, disconnect charger from mains supply. During
operation, check that charging terminals and battery poles are properly con-
nected.
CAUTION! Risk of damage when attempting to charge a faulty battery. Before
charging, ensure that the battery to be charged is fully functional.
Switch off engine and ignition, shed all loads
Set selector switch to correct position
Establish connection to battery
Charger displays battery open circuit voltage
Connect charger to mains supply
Charger starts to charge
Charger displays current charge level as sequence of bars
