5.2 Installation and connection

Unpack the device and remove all packing material.
Put the device on a level, stable surface capable of supporting its weight.
Never put the device on a flammable surface (tablecloth, carpet, etc.).
Never put the device in a moist or wet environment.
Do not put the device near an open flame, electric oven, heater or other source of
heat.
Ensure the device is not placed near any flammable materials. Danger of fire!
Ensure a safe distance is maintained from all walls, shelves, etc. for proper
circulation of warm air emitted by the device.
WARNING! Hazard via electrical current!
The device can cause injuries due to improper installation!
Before installation the local power grid specification should be compared with
that of the device (see type label).
Connect the device only in case of compliance!
Take note of the security advice!
The electrical circuit of the socket must be secured to at least 16A. Only connect
the device to a wall outlet; do not use any extension cords or power strips.
Place the device so that the plug is easily accessible so as to quickly disconnect the
device if the need arises.

5.3 Operation

The soup kettle is composed of a heated external pot with thermostat, a removable
stainless steel insert pot and a carrying rim placed over the external pot. The
transparent hinged rotating polycarbonate lid with ladle cut-out allows you to see inside
the kettle at all times and check the fill level of soup or sauce, avoiding heat loss. To
remove or add contents, just tilt the lit up.
Before use, remove the lid, carrying rim and insert pot, and wash all parts according to
the instructions in 6.2 „Cleaning".
The soup kettle functions like a water bath. Temperature of food inside is maintained
by heated water.
