Rear entertainment

Vehicle equipment
This chapter describes all standard, national
and special equipment provided in the model
series. Equipment not available in the vehicle is
therefore also described, for example the se‐
lected special equipment or national version.
This also applies to safety-relevant functions
and systems. Comply with the relevant na‐
tional regulations when using the correspond‐
ing functions and systems.
Principle
Rear entertainment enables passengers in the
rear to access entertainment sources irrespec‐
tive of the driver's selection. There are two
screens in the rear for this purpose, as well as
various media connections and a CD/DVD
player. Sound playback is via headphones.
Different entertainment sources can be selec‐
ted via the screens.
Rear entertainment also allows access to many
iDrive functions.
Some entertainment sources can be controlled
from the front and rear at the same time. A cor‐
responding priority can be set in the rear ena‐
ble, see page 78, for these situations.
Possible entertainment sources
Entertainment sources that can be selected at
front and rear:
▷ FM and AM radio stations.
Only one FM or AM radio station can be
listened to in the vehicle.
▷ DAB/DMB radio station.
Only one DAB/DMB radio station can be
listened to in the vehicle.
▷ CD/DVD changer.

Only one CD/DVD in the CD/DVD changer
can be listened to in the vehicle
▷ Music collection.
Various tracks from the music collection
can be listened to.
▷ TV station with vehicle stationary.
Only one TV station can be received in the
vehicle.

ted in front:
▷ Front AUX-IN input.
▷ Front USB input.
▷ Front CD/DVD player.
DVD only with vehicle stationary.
Entertainment sources that can only be selec‐
ted in rear:
▷ Rear Cinch sockets.
▷ Rear USB input.
▷ Rear CD/DVD player.
▷ TV station while the vehicle is in motion.
