General
The TeleServices are generally activated in the
vehicle. For further information about using the
services, contact your Service Partner or the
Hotline.
The offering is country-specific.
Connection charges can be incurred.
Services can be limited abroad.
Requirements
TeleServices may be run in various versions in
the vehicle. The follow preconditions are to be
met:
Activated ConnectedDrive contract, equip‐
ment with intelligent emergency call or
BMW ConnectedDrive services.
Mobile telephony reception must be guar‐
anteed.
The ignition is switched on.
Breakdown assistance
Principle
The Mobile Service offered by the BMW Group
can be contacted if you require help in the
event of a breakdown.
In the case of a breakdown, data on the vehicle
condition is transferred by BMW to the Mobile
Service. It might be that malfunctions can be
remedied directly.

done with a Check Control message, see Own‐
er's Handbook for the vehicle.
Starting breakdown assistance
Starting service
When equipped with TeleServices, support is
provided first through the Teleservice diagno‐
sis and then by the Teleservice assistance.
On the Control Display:
1.
"BMW Services" or "ConnectedDrive"
2.
"Mobile Care"
3.
"Start service"
A voice connection to Mobile Service is es‐
tablished.
Teleservice Diagnosis
Teleservice Diagnosis enables transfer of de‐
tailed vehicle data that is necessary for diagno‐
sis of the vehicle via mobile telephony. This
data is transferred automatically.
After transfer of the data, a voice connection to
the Mobile Service is established.
Starting Teleservice Assistance
The Teleservice Assistance enables a deeper
diagnosis of the vehicle by the Mobile Service.
Certain functions within the vehicle may be re‐
stored to a drivable condition.
As requested by the Mobile Service and on
terminating the voice connection, the Teleser‐
vice Assistance can be started.
1.
Park the vehicle safely.
2.
Apply the parking brake.
3.
The ignition is switched on.
4.
"Teleservice help"
After concluding the Teleservice Assistance, a
voice connection to the Mobile Service is es‐
tablished.
