tions.
Warning: the use of any electrical appliance calls for the
awareness of some basic rules. In particular:
-electrical installation in the place of use must comply
with applicable safety legislation.
-Ensure that the voltage and frequency (see data plate located
underneath the appliance) correspond to those of the mains.
- Connect the appliance to an easily accessible power socket.
- The appliance, its accessories and its packaging materials are
not toys and should not be left within reach of children as they
are potential sources of danger.
- Never immerse the appliance or the detachable power cord
in water or in any other liquid. Never touch them with wet or
damp hands and never use the appliance with bare or wet feet
or near jets of water.
Warning: do not touch the appliance if it is accidentally
dropped in water. Unplug it immediately and do not use
it again. Contact trained, qualified personnel or Artsana
S.p.A..
- In the event of a fault with and/or malfunctioning of the ap-
pliance, switch it off and unplug it. Do not attempt to open it or
repair it, but contact technically trained, qualified personnel or
Artsana S.p.A. customer service.
- Always place the appliance on a flat, stable surface, away from
heat-sensitive equipment or materials, steam and moisture.
Never place the appliance on or near hot surfaces, gas stoves or
electric hot plates, or on delicate surfaces.
- Never leave the appliance unattended while in use.
- Do not operate the appliance when it is empty.
- Never cover the appliance during operation or when it is still
hot.
- Do not leave the appliance switched on unnecessarily, as this
is potentially dangerous.
- The appliance must not be operated using an external timer or
a separate remote control.
- Before use, check that all components (in particular the jug
and the base) are properly assembled.
- Make sure hands, hair, clothes and kitchen utensils are out of
the jug before operating the appliance. Use the spatula when
the appliance is off.
In cooking mode, always use the basket provided for
cooking food or alternatively use the support for heating
jars, paying particular attention to steam.
During the heating/cooking cycle, if steam comes
out from the edges of the boiler cap, this indicates
that there is an operating fault in the steam circuit: do not open
or remove the boiler cap. Turn the appliance off immediately
and leave it to cool down completely. The appliance must not
be used again and trained, qualified personnel or Artsana S.p.A.
must be contacted to check it.
Do not use the product if liquid is leaking from the appli-
ance body. In this case, turn off the appliance immedi-
ately and unplug it.
At the end of the cooking cycle, while the appli-
ance is hot, remove the lid slowly and carefully,
paying particular attention to the hot steam, in
order to prevent scalding. The top handle on the drum for cook-
ing food (and/or alternatively on the support for heating jars/
baby food) may be very hot.
Be particularly careful when handling the blade unit.
The blades are very sharp.
The jug and the plastic accessories can be washed by hand with
a normal washing up liquid (do not use abrasive products) or in
the dishwasher. The tank, the jug lid and the blade unit, on the
other hand, are not suitable for dishwashers.
- In order to prevent any rust forming on the blades, clean and
dry the blade unit thoroughly after each use.
- To ensure proper blade unit operation, do not use the blending
mode for more than 10 seconds in a row.
- It is not advisable to use this appliance for chopping very hard
foodstuffs, such as frozen food, as the blades may be damaged
beyond repair.
- Never pour/add any liquids other than tap water or liquids
and/or solids other than those referred to in the "BOILER MAIN-
TENANCE" paragraph (fig. D) into the boiler.
- Use the power cord supplied with the appliance only. It is inad-
visable to use adapters, power strips and/or extension cables. If
necessary, use single or multiple adapters and extension cords
that comply with applicable safety standards, taking care not to
exceed the power limit indicated on the adapter and/or exten-
sion cable.
- Contact Artsana S.p.A. exclusively to replace the power cord.
