HOW TO USE THE BLENDER CYCLE
The Natural Steam Cooker can blend all foods used for weaning,
reducing air bubbles in the food that can cause colic in babies.
BEFORE BLENDING FOOD, ALWAYS CHECK THAT:
- the cooking basket, jar heating support or other components
are not in the jug;
- the blade unit is properly inserted in the jug;
- the jug is properly secured to the base.
• Make sure that the appliance is not connected to the mains
and that the dial is in the OFF
• Open the jug lid, turn the tilting basket to tip the cooked food
into the jug, remove the basket and close the lid. If you want to
blend while cold, insert the food cut into small pieces directly
into the jug without exceeding the maximum level indicated (
) or squashing the food.
WARNING: for correct operation, never put hard foods
(e.g. frozen foods) or more food than the maximum
amount indicated into the jug, to prevent causing ir-
reparable damage or breaking the blades, posing a serious risk
to the user.
• Plug the appliance in: the display shows the digits "00".
• Select the blending function by turning the dial downwards
: the icon appears on the display to indicate that the blades are
operating.
• Keep the dial in this position for no longer than 10 seconds
then release it. Repeat this process several times until the food-
stuffs reach the desired consistency, adding liquid if necessary.
WARNING: do not operate the blades for more than 10
seconds and wait at least 10 seconds between one op-
eration and the next so as not to jeopardise the motor.
• After blending, detach the jug from the base, remove the
lid and pour the contents of the jug into the plate, using the
spatula.
WARNING: do not use your hands to avoid getting hurt
by the blades. It is highly recommended to check the
temperature of the contents and mix them well before
giving them to children.

position.
To heat or defrost food in small pieces, follow the instructions
described in the "HOW TO COOK" section.
To heat up food stored in jars:
• check that the blade unit is properly inserted in the jug;
• attach the jug to the base;
• insert the jar heating support in the empty jug;
• rest the baby food jar on the support without its lid. Do not
insert jars larger than the support;
• close the jug lid.
The time required to defrost or heat varies depending on the ini-
tial temperature and the amount of food. Follow these general
guidelines:
- Defrosting: set the cooking time to about 20 minutes. De-
pending on the thickness and quantity of food to be defrosted,
it may be necessary to repeat this operation.
Once the food is defrosted, it can be cooked/heated.

VII. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

carried out while the appliance is off and unplugged.
After each cooking/blending/heating cycle, it is advisable to

DAILY CLEANING

After use, clean the appliance as shown below.
Cleaning the jug and the accessories
The jug and the plastic accessories can be washed by hand with
a normal washing up liquid (do not use abrasive or descaling
products). They can also be washed in the dishwasher. It is ad-
visable to remove the blade unit before washing the jug.
Cleaning the tank
The tank and its cap should NOT be washed in a dishwasher:
they must be cleaned using soap and water and rinsed thor-
oughly. Do not use harsh cleaning agents such as bleach, or
ones containing chlorine or its compounds. Allow to dry with-
out inserting the cap.
If lime scale deposits form, fill the tank with a solution of equal
parts of cold tap water and white wine vinegar, leave for at least
10 hours then rinse thoroughly using cold water tap only. If
necessary, repeat the operation. Do not use descaling products
(liquids, powders, tablets etc.).
Cleaning the blade unit
To prevent/reduce the risk of oxidation and corrosion of the
blades, the blade unit must be cleaned and dried after every use.
Remove the blade unit from the jug, following the instructions
provided and clean it with soap and water or mild detergent,
paying close attention to the sharp part. Harsh detergents, such
bleach, may affect the steel, staining it and oxidising it perma-
nently. It is essential not use detergents that contain chlorine
or its compounds. Rinse thoroughly with running water and dry
immediately with a soft (non-abrasive) cloth, to prevent the
