risk of oxidation and corrosion.
WARNING: do not wash the blades in the dishwasher,
because the damp environment, coupled with the pres-
ence of salts, can lead to oxidising phenomena.
Cleaning the base
Unplug the appliance, allow it to cool down and clean it with a
damp cloth only. Do not put the base in the dishwasher or under
running water or immerse it in other liquids.
Rinsing the boiler (do this if it is has not been used for
over 8 hours).
Always remove any remaining water in the boiler by gradually
tilting the appliance, without turning it upside down (fig. C) and
cleaning inside it quickly.
a) Fill the boiler with 300 ml of cold tap water only (fig. D),
close the boiler cap and shake, then remove the cap and empty
the boiler, keeping the steam outlet closed and gradually tilt-
ing the appliance, without turning it upside down, to allow the
water to come out.
b) Repeat the previous step, closing the boiler cap and pouring
the water directly out of the steam outlet, ensuring that it is
not blocked.
c) Carefully clean the area near the steam outlet.
WARNING: before removing the boiler cap, wait
at least 10 minutes for the appliance to cool down,
to prevent burns.
If necessary, perform descaling as shown in the paragraph be-
low.
VIII. BOILER MAINTENANCE
To ensure proper operation of the product and maintenance of
the boiler, a complete descaling cycle must be performed pe-
riodically.
IMPORTANT: the formation of lime scale deposits in-
creases with the use of the product and the hardness of
the water used. Perform maintenance on the boiler at
least every 15 days or before storing the appliance for long peri-
ods.
a) Unplug the appliance, turn the dial to OFF
the appliance and the boiler have completely cooled.
IMPORTANT: If the product is not adequately cooled,
there may be boiling water and/or steam inside the boil-
er: be careful not to get burned.
b) Remove the jug and the tank from the base, unscrew
the boiler cap and drain it by tilting the appliance, without turn-
ing it upside down.
c) Add a solution of 150 ml of cold tap water and 150 ml of
white wine vinegar into the boiler to remove any lime scale
deposits. Never use demineralised water or descaling products
(liquids, powders, tablets etc.) which could contain substances
that are toxic or not suitable for contact with foodstuffs. Never
add liquids and/or solutions other than the one specified, as
these could damage the appliance beyond repair.
WARNING! Never fill the boiler over the mouthpiece.
d) Replace the boiler cap and leave the solution in for
at least 10 hours.
WARNING! Never turn the appliance on with the des-
caling solution in the boiler.
e) After at least 10 hours, shake the product slightly,
remove the boiler cap and empty the boiler, keeping the steam
outlet closed and gradually tilting the appliance, without turn-
ing it upside down (fig. C).
NB: if any residue comes out, even if dark in colour, this is abso-
lutely normal as it is the deposits of salts dissolved in the water
which are removed by the descaling solution.
f) Refill the tank with 300 ml of cold tap water alone (fig. D),
close the boiler cap and shake the appliance briefly.
g) Remove the boiler cap and, keeping the steam outlet closed,
drain all the water, tilting the appliance gradually without turn-
ing it upside down.
h) Repeat steps f) and g) until no more residue comes out of
the boiler.
i) Repeat step f) and empty the tank by gradually tilting the ap-
pliance to the right, without turning it upside down, draining the
water out of the steam outlet, ensuring that it is not blocked.
j) Thoroughly dry up any water near the steam outlet or the base.
If large amounts of limescale have formed and prove very difficult
to remove, repeat the operation increasing the percentage of vin-
egar in the solution.
IX. STORAGE JARS
The Natural Steam Cooker pack includes 2 graduated jars for
storing and transporting baby food. They are made of durable
plastic and can be used in the refrigerator and freezer and to
warm up baby food (with the Natural Steam Cooker, in a bain-
marie - traditional method - or in the microwave).
• While heating up the food, always remove the lid from the jars.
• Do not place the jar directly onto heated hot plates, open
flames or in the oven.
• Do not heat the baby food more than once and/or for more
than an hour.
At the end of the warm-up cycle:
• Handle the jar with care so as not to get burned.
• Always mix the baby food to even out the temperature.
• Always check that the food is not too hot before feeding it to
your child.

IMPORTANT: During cleaning, do not attempt to re-
move and/or damage the boiler, cap and steam outlet
seals.
