Device Control Command

5-4-1. AUDIO MUTE ON (24H)

This command puts the audio on muting.

5-4-2. AUDIO MUTE OFF (25H)

This command cancels the muting setting of the audio output.

5-4-3. VIDEO MUTE OFF (26H)

This command cancels the muting setting of the video output.

5-4-4. VIDEO MUTE ON (27H)

This command puts the video on muting.

5-4-5. MEMORY (5AH)

This memorizes the title no. and time (as frames or GOP
SEARCH after executing MEMORY, the current position will be moved to the memorized one.
1) GOP (Group of Pictures): A unit of MPEG images in which multiple frames are bundled together. It
consists of I (in-frame coding image), P (progressive direction predicted coding image), and B (both
direction predicted coding image) pictures. This device treats 15 frames as 1 GOP for NTSC and 12
frames as 1 GOP for PAL.
Note
MEMORY SEARCH will continue with the previously memorized values even if a change occurs during
its execution. Memorized values can be reset, by executing TITLE ERASE or by switching OFF the power
supply.

5-4-6. KEY INHIBIT ON (EXP-1 + 94H)

This disables playback operations from the front panel and CUSTOM button key inputs. Only the EJECT,
MENU, BACK, and ENTER buttons and the up, down, left, and right arrow buttons when a menu is
displayed will operate.

5-4-7. KEY INHIBIT OFF (EXP-1 + 95H)

This command makes the inputs from the front panel effective.

5-4-8. FULL EE ON (C4H)

This command changes the status to FULL EE.

5-4-9. FULL EE OFF (C5H)

This command cancels the FULL EE status.

5-4-10. REC REQUEST (FAH)

This command enables compatibility with the DVO-1000MD.
However, this command does not need to be sent before REC commands.

5-4-11. POWER OFF (EXP-1 + C9H)

This command starts the power OFF sequence. If it comes during the process of initialization, finalization
or formatting, the power supply will be turned OFF after the above process is completed.
