Playing discs using the title menu

Some DVDs have a title menu,
which lists the titles available on
Select a title to play using the
K / L / { / B buttons, then
them. It helps you to start play at
a specific title.
press ENTER button.

Press TOP MENU button.
TOP MENU button:
The title menu will appear.
Displays the 'Title menu' of a
DVD disc which varies with the
disc.
If the feature is not available,
may appear on the TV screen.
K / L / { / B buttons:
Moves the cursor around screen.
Enter button:
Selects the currently highlighted
menu option.
Number buttons:
Selects a numbered menu option
(some discs only). (Press ENTER
button after.)

Press TOP MENU button to
exit the title menu.
ABOUT THE PBC FUNCTION OF VIDEO CD

This unit conforms to ver.1.1 and ver.2.0 of Video CD
standard, with PBC function.
Ver.1.1 (without PBC function): You can enjoy playback picture as
well as music CD.
Ver.2.0 (with PBC function): While using a Video CD with PBC func-
tion, "PBC" appears on the screen and the display.
What is PBC? "PBC" stands for the Playback Control.
You can play interactive software using menu screens. Refer to
instructions in the Video CD.
NOTE:
When playing Video CDs with PBC function, only "pbc" is
displayed insted of the playing time and current track indications
on the front panel display. Also, some operations cannot be
performed unless the function is cancelled intentionally by you or
automatically.
The operations which are not available when the PBC function is
set to ON are indicated by following symbol in this manual:

accompanying the disc for

Playing Video CDs using the title menu
1.
When playing a Video CD with PBC function, the title menu
will appear automatically.
2.
Press Number buttons to select the desired title.
• Playback will begin at the selected title.
3.
Press RETURN button to go back to the title menu.
Cancelling and Recalling the PBC function
1.
Press SETUP button to display SETUP/CD menu.
• SETUP/CD menu will appear.
Select "CD" using { / B buttons, then press ENTER button.

• CD Playback Mode menu will appear.
Select "PBC (Video CD only)" using K / L buttons, then press

ENTER button.
Select "OFF" on the pop-up menu, using K / L buttons, then

press ENTER button.
Press SETUP button to exit the menu.

To recall the PBC function, select "ON" in the step 4 above.

For Video CDs, forward/reverse speeds are x2, x8, x16.
For MP3 files, approximate speed is fixed at x8.
To return to the normal play, press PLAY B button.

In a few seconds, play will resume
from the point at which it
stopped last.You can resume play
at the same point even if you turn
off the DVD recorder.
To cancel the resume play and
start playing the disc from the
beginning, press STOP C button
