Hardware Installation

Before using your ENIP2061, you must prepare your network environment first. Please see
the figure below. First you need to connect your ENIP2061 to the local area network
(Please see your IT professional for help). Make sure your network has a DHCP server that
automatically assigns IP addresses to all equipment connected to the network. If there is
no DHCP server, then the IP address for your phone must be assigned manually.
Steps to installing your phone:
1.
If you have the optional Key Expansion Module (KEM), plug into the available connector
on the right side of the phone, and fasten it with 2 supplied screws.
2. Connect one end of the coiled telephone cord to the handset and the other end to the
handset port on the side of IP phone.
3. Connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN Port of your switch/router/hubs or wall outlet.

Then connect the other end of this Ethernet cable to the LAN port of the IP phone.
5. For local configuration purpose on the web interface of the IP phone, you may connect a
PC or notebook via another Ethernet cable to the PC port on the back of IP phone.
6. Plug the power cord to the power jack of the IP Phone and then plug the power adapter
to the wall outlet. Remember to power on your Ethernet switch/router/hub as well.
7. Wait for your phone to boot up. Please do not interrupt this process, it may take a few
minutes to complete.
8. When the prompt on the LCD display is ready, please check if the IP phone works by
lifting up the handset. If there is a dialing tone, then dial several numbers to see whether
the LCD screen is showing your dialed numbers or not.
9.
Check all the connections and reconfiguration of the IP phone, if you do not hear a dial
tone.
10. Other steps may be required at the server to allow the phone to register with the server.
