Adjust the cutting height only when the engine is switched off and the power cable has been disconnected. Before you begin to mow, check to ensure that the blade is not blunt and that none of the fasteners are damaged.

Select the cutting height to suit the actual length of the grass. Make several passes to ensure that you do not remove more than 4 cm of grass length in any one pass.
