External Microphone (optional)
Using the stereo shotgun microphone (DMW-MS2: optional), you can switch between the
gun (ultra-directional) recording and the wide range stereo recording.
Preparations:
•
Close the built-in flash, and then turn this unit off.

Attach the dedicated stereo shotgun microphone to this unit, and then turn this
unit on.

Select [Special Mic.] on the [Motion Picture] menu.

When the external microphone is connected, [Mic Level Disp.]
[ON], and the mic level is displayed on the screen.

When attaching the stereo shotgun microphone, do not hold only the stereo shotgun
microphone because it may detach from the camera.
•
[Wind Cut] in the [Motion Picture] can reduce the wind noise effectively.
•
Do not open the built-in flash when the stereo shotgun microphone is attached.
•
If the noises are recorded when you use an AC adaptor (optional), use a battery.
•

Remote Shutter (optional)
If you use the remote shutter (DMW-RSL1: optional), you can avoid jitter (camera shake)
when using a tripod and you can keep the shutter pressed fully when taking pictures with
[B] (Bulb) or Burst Mode. The remote shutter works similar to the shutter button on the
camera.
•
Always use a genuine Panasonic remote shutter (DMW-RSL1: optional).
•
Record with Creative Video Mode
picture recording can be started/stopped with the remote shutter.
•
Read the operating instructions of the remote shutter for details.
Not available in these cases:

You cannot operate the camera with the remote shutter in the following case.
