• loose the screws of the front castor plate support;
• adjust the position of the front fork acting on the eccentric nuts;
• fix the screws of the front castor plate support.
Clothes guards may need to be repositioned according with the new wheels position.
Brakes also must be adjusted according with the new set-up.
Small wheels for narrow passages may be repositioned according with the new set-
up if necessary.
3.2. BACKREST HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
At the purchase time the backrest height has been selected, anyway further adjustments are
still available:
• Lift-up the front side of the backrest upholstery.
• Remove the two screws releasing the backrest tubes extension (with push handle).
• Move up or down those extensions according with your wishes (the tubes are pre-holed
with steeps of 2 cm).
• Replace and tighten the two holding screws.
• Fold-down the upholstery.
3.3. FOOTREST HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
The footrest holding tube is slid into the wheelchairs front frame and tightened by the two fixing
screw near the end of the pipe frame.
• Loose and remove completely the two screws.
• Slide in or out the footrest tubes from the frame to reach the desired height.
• Insert again the two fixing screws and tight them properly again.
3.4. BACKREST TENSION ADJUSTMENT
A Velcro strap, inside the upholstery, can easily adjust the backrest tension.
• Lift-up the front side of the backrest upholstery.
• Stretch or loosen the Velcro-strap, connecting the two back-rest tubes, according to
your needs.
• Fold-down the backrest upholstery to complete the operation.
Important:
The Velcro strap must not be too tight for allowing an easy wheelchair opening and
closing. If the strap is too tight, with the passing of time, it is possible to compromise
the wheelchair frame.
4. HOW TO USE THE WHEELCHAIRS
For a safe end efficient use of the wheelchairs, consult your therapist or other
qualified person.
A proper use and a periodical maintenance (every 3 months) of the wheelchairs will
help to preserve its original characteristics for long time.
The brakes are only parking brakes; never use them to reduce the speed.
If the pneumatics don't have the proper pressure, the brakes may not perform properly.
Avoid to stoop too forward as moving excessively the balance, it is possible to overturn.
Face slopes higher than 8° with an assistant.
