Problem
I can not access BD-Live.
The HD recorder cannot
automatically acquire an
IP address.
The HD recorder is
connected to the
broadband router, but the
network connection test
fails.
Possible Cause
There may be a problem with
the server
The router may not be set to
automatically issue an IP
address.
The router may not be set to
automatically issue an IP
address.
The wrong type of Ethernet
cable may be used.
The router may be using MAC
filtering (security setting).

Remedy
Try again in an hour or two as the
server may be temporarily
unavailable for a period of time.
Try another BD-Live disc or
access Viera Cast to test your
internet connection.
Check the router settings and
ensure that the DHCP option is
enabled/switched on.
Use manual IP settings if the
network administrator prefers to
manually allocate IP addresses.
The IP address issued will have
to be manually entered in the
network settings menu.
Use a standard LAN straight
through cable to connect to the
internet via a router or a hub.
Cross-over Ethernet cable is only
used in connecting directly to the
Ethernet socket of a PC.
Note the MAC address, found in
the Network Settings menu, and
add it to the MAC filtering table.

instructions for help with this.
