Note: The acoustic warning signal can be suppressed by pressing the emergency stop button; the
charging procedure is maintained (exception: continuous tone).
Operating manual chair STG
Possible cause
Is the key on the control unit set
to -I- or -II- and are the others
set to -0- or removed?
Are all EMERGENCY STOP
buttons unlocked?
Is the main switch for the lift set
to -I-?
Batteries defective or deeply
discharged
Safety arrester has triggered
Is the contact tub or frame side
contact freely movable?
Is the enable button depressed?
Are all key switches at -0-
except at the control station
selected by you?
Are the transmitter batteries
OK?
Is the chair lift folded up?
Reason
-Low battery voltage
(see also 4.2)
Acoustic drive warning
Overtemperature of
motor/electronics
Or defective fuse
Faulty electronics/motor
Emergency call by means of
beeper in the chair

Remedial action
Set the key switches correctly
(see 4.4 or 4.5)
Unlock the EMERGENCY
STOP buttons by turning or
pulling (depending on version)
Turn on the main switch
(see 4.1)
Replace the batteries
(technical personnel)
Inform technical personnel
Slightly move the contact strip
or frame side contact
Press the enable button and
issue the drive command
Set the key switches correctly
(see 4.4 or 4.5)
Replace the transmitter
batteries
Fold up the chair lift
Remedial action
Drive to the charging station and charge
the batteries

It is possible to resume driving after a
cooling down period of approx. 5 min.
(If cooling is insufficient, the cooling
period is extended by a further 5 min.)
Inform customer service
Release the emergency call button.
