Tailgate
Use your key to lock and unlock
the tailgate. (For EX models, your
remote transmitter will also lock
and unlock the tailgate.)
To open the tailgate, pull the
handle, and then lift up the
tailgate.
See page 93 for cargo loading and
weight limit information. Keep
the tailgate closed at all times
while driving to avoid damaging

the tailgate and getting exhaust
gas in the interior. See Carbon
Monoxide Hazard on page 24.
Glove Box
Open the glove box by pulling the
bottom of the handle. Close it
with a firm push. Lock or unlock
the glove box with the master key.
An open glove box can
cause serious injury to your
passenger in a crash, even if
the passenger is wearing the
seat belt.
Always keep the glove box
closed while driving.
The glove box light comes on
only when the instrument panel
lights are on.
