Selecting the ISO sensitivity

Abbreviation for the International
Organization for Standardization. ISO
standards specify the sensitivity for digital
cameras and Þ lm, thus codes such as " I SO
10 0 " are used to represent sensitivity.
In the ISO setting, although smaller values
result in less sensitivity, sharp images can
be taken under fully lit conditions. L a rger

values result in higher sensitivity, and
images can be taken at fast shutter speeds
even under low light conditions. However,
high sensitivity introduces noise into the
