Important: Before installing the batteries make sure you are not near water and that your hands
are dry.
Opening the Battery Door
Turn and hold the camcorder with the bottom facing up and the battery door facing you as shown in the
diagrams below. Hold the main body of the camcorder with one hand and use your other hand to pull
the small battery cover lever down to the end (A). You may need to exert a little force before you hear
a "click" for the battery door to release (B). Gently pull the battery door outwards, and open it slowly
with your finger (C).

Note:
1) When opening the battery door, do not hold the LCD screen side, as excessive force may destroy
the screen joint.
2) In order to assure water resistance, do not attempt to remove or rip off the Rubber Seal on the
inside of battery door.
3) This is a water resistance camcorder. You may feel the battery door is very tight and difficult to
open. This is normal. Just follow the above instructions, and make sure to pull the battery cover
lever down to the end of the slot.
