This camera is a plug and play device. You can download the pictures and videos captured by your camera without the software by directly accessing the camera’s memory card from your computer. It is recommended however that you install the Vivitar Experience™ Image Manager Software to enjoy the full Vivitar Experience. -

Initial Camcorder Setup Installing the Batteries Installing the Memory Card Insert 4xAAA (1.5) batteries. Batteries not included. SD Memory card (up to 32GB) needed for normal use. You must use only a Class 4 Memory card or higher. Turning On the Camcorder... - Page 6 POWERING THE CAMCORDER ON Installing the Batteries Make sure to properly install the 4xAA (1.5) batteries. Batteries not included. Rechargeable batteries are not recommended. Battery Power: Some features, will not work if the battery power level is low. When the battery power is low the battery icon turns red and the camcorder will automatically turn off a few seconds later.
- Page 7 When powering the camcorder ON for the first time the camcorder will take you through the initial camcorder setup. SETTING THE CAMCORDER LANGUAGE After powering on your camcorder for the first time, you will be prompted to select a language for the camcorder.

Main Camcorder Modes Your camcorder has different modes for the various camcorder functions. You can switch modes by pressing the HOME button. The HOME menu is shown on the LCD. Navigating the Menus You camcorder includes the following menus: Home Menus Camcorder Mode Menus Camcorder Setup Menus HOME MENUS The Home menus allow you quick access to the camcorder modes, camcorder setup settings as well as to the features of photo Slide Show and Power Off. To access the Home Menus: Press the HOME button. - Page 15 CAMCORDER MODE MENUS Each camcorder mode has a set of menus specific to that mode. To access the Main Menu Screen for the current mode: Enter the Main Menu Screen from Video Capture, Photo Capture or Playback Mode: Press the MENU button to open the menus for the current mode. NOTE: Tap Return to exit the menu screen without selecting a menu and return to the current mode.

To access the Camcorder Setup Menus: Press the HOME to open the Home Menu options. Tap the Setup icon to enter the menu options for your camera general settings. NOTE: To exit the Setup screen without selecting a menu, tap Return to return to the Home Menu screen.

Video Capture Mode The Video Capture Mode allows you to capture videos with your digital camcorder. When the camcorder is first powered ON, the camcorder will be in Video Capture Mode. TAKING A VIDEO Power on your camcorder. Video Capture Mode is the default mode that appears upon powering on. Video Playback Mode The Playback Mode allows you to review and edit photos and videos that you’ve already taken with you camera. When you first turn on the camcorder, it will be in Video Capture Mode by default. To access the Playback Mode: Press the MODE button to toggle between Playback Mode and Video Capture Mode. - Page 24 VIDEO PLAYBACK MODE: LCD SCREEN ICONS ICON FUNCTION PLAYBACK MODE Indicates Camcorder is in Playback Mode. Camcorder Setup The general settings for your digital camcorder can easily be changed at any time. To enter the Camcorder Setup Menus: Press the HOME to open the Home Menu options. FORMAT MENU You can use the Format SD Card menu to delete all of the content that is currently on your camera’s memory card.
