Using
MIDI.
Real-Time Control
1.
Sequencer
Controlled
Automatic Performance
With
the
system
shown
in
figure
1, let
us use the
DX9
as
synthesizer
A,
and
the
DX7
as
synthesizer
B.
Specify
the
DX9
receiving
channel
as
1,
and
the
DX7
receiving
channel
as
2.
This
will
enable
automatic performance
under sequencer
control.
2.
Remote
Control
Performance
Hooking up
the
remote keyboard
KX1
to a
DX9
as
shown
in
the
figure, will
enable
you
to
remotely
control the
DX9
from
the
KX1
keyboard.
In
addition,
by connecting
a
DX9
and
a
DX7,
the
DX7
can be
controlled
from
the
DX9
keyboard.
The DX9's
send channel
number
should
also
be
specified as
1

Single
Voice Data
When
the
display
appears
as
shown
in
the
figure, press
the voice
number
key
for
the voice
you
wish
to transmit,

Single
Voice Data
After
receiving
the voice data
for
a single
voice,
the voice
data
will
be
held
in
the
memory
of the buffer
and
the
voice
number
display
shows
"0".
2.
Receiving the
Voice Data
for
all
20
Voices
Switching
the
PROTECT
off
for
the
memory,
will
cause the voice
data for
all
20
voices to
be
memorized
into
the
internal
memory.
3.
Receiving
Voice
or
FUNCTION
Parameters
When
receiving
this
Information, the
unit
will
vary the
data
for
that particular parameter.
