PREPARATIONS
1.
The VOLUME control
is set at
MIN.
2.
The MODE switch
is set
at
4
CH.
STEREO.
3.
The three BALANCE controls are all set at NORM.
4.
The BASS and TREBLE controls
are
all
set
to FLAT.
5.
The TAPE MONITOR
switches
(1, 2\
are set
at
OFF.
(The
switches should be set
at ON
for
a tape playback
only.)
6.
The PRE
&
MAIN
switch
on the
rear panel is
set
at
INTERCOUPLED.
CHECKING INTERACTION
BETWEEN
CHANNEL AND
SPEAKER SYSTEMS
1.
Set the MODE switch to
MONO
L (CH.1),
and
play
a
record or tune in
a
broadcast.
2.
Turn the
VOLUME control. Then, check all
four
speakers.
If
any one
of
the
speakers
is not
operating,
check the
speaker connection.
Turn the
FRONT-REAR
BALANCE control fully
counterclockwise. Then turn
the FRONT LEFT-RIGHT
BALANCE control knob
fully
couterclockwise
and
verify
only the front
left-side
speaker
(CH. 1)
is
in
operation.
After verifying it, turn
the FRONT LEFT-RIGHT BAL-
ANCE control
fully
clockwise and
verify that only
the
front
right-side speaker
(CH. 3)
is
in operation.
Turn the
FRONT-REAR BALANCE control
fully
clock_
wise. Then
turn the
REAR LEFT-RIGHT
BALANCE
control
fully
counterclockwise and verify
that
only
the rear
left-side speaker (CH. 2) is
in
operation.
After
verifying
it,
turn the REAR LEFT-RIGHT
BAL-
ANCE control ful1y clockwise and verify that only
the
rear right-side
speaker
(CH. 4)
in
operation.
I-f anV other
speaker
than the proper
one is
operating
during the
above
verification test check the particulai
speaker
connection. After
the verification test, return the
three BALANCE controls
to
the NORM position,
respec-
tively.
