Brewer Setup

To operate your new Keurig brewer, please follow these instructions. Also follow these instruc-
tions if you emptied the brewer of water (for example to move it) before operating it again.
Step 1. Remove tape from drip tray/plate and place drip tray/plate
at the base and in front of the brewer.
Step 2. If desired, prepare the charcoal filter provided.
(The filter will remove chlorine found in municipal water)
Remove filter from bag
Run filter under cold water for 1 minute
Place filter in water fill area of brewer (see Figure 1)
Step 3. Be sure power switch is "OFF", then plug in the brewer.
Plug into a 3 pronged grounded receptacle
Avoid sharing outlet with other appliances
Step 4. Turn "ON" power switch found on rear of brewer. The blue water column light in the fill
tube will be flashing, indicating that the brewer needs water. Fill the water pitcher provided with cold
water and fill the brewer up to 80 oz on initial fill (the regular refill quantity is 64 oz). When the
brewer is full it is indicated by four audible beeps and the green Ready light will flash four times.
Step 5. The red "Not Ready" light indicates that the brewer is not
ready (the water is heating). Wait for 8- 10 minutes. The green
"Ready" light will illuminate when the water is heated.
Step 6. The K-Cup holder is shipped in the water pitcher. Insert
the K-Cup holder in the brew drawer; press and snap into place.

Step 7. Perform a "Cleansing Brew"
Open and close brew drawer
Place a mug on the drip plate
Press the green "Brew" button
Hot water will dispense into
mug (water should be discarded)
