Connect a LAN port of the Octopus Net with a network cable, which is connected to the home network (router / switch / access point). Hence, the Octopus Net automatically obtains an IP address, a DHCP server must be active on the network.
Connect the output of an antenna socket or a DVB-T/T2 antenna via an appropriate antenna cable to the input of the Octopus Net Twin tuner card (IEC socket). The output of the twin- tuner card (IEC connector) can be used to supply additional devices (eg TV or Digital Devices products) if the Octopus NET is in operation.

VLC / MediaPortal / XBMC / etc. be used. The multicast IP address is created by the Octopus Net itself and is not individually changeable. It is made up as follows: 239. <DeviceID> .2. <StreamID> (here, for example: 239.5.2.11).
The Digital Devices Octopus Cast tool helps such a personalized "User Channel Database" to create (download at www.digital-devices.de). Documentation are inside the tools available. After an upload of such a custom "User Channel Database" and a restart of the Octopus Net are these immediately available.
