Problem
Handset will not ring.

Ringer switched off.
•
Recording time is long.
•
Service not supplied.
•
Caller has withheld info.
•
Battery low.
•
Max. number of bases
already registered to
handset.
•
Max. number of handsets
already registered to
base unit.
•
Wrong PIN number
entered (Default 0000).
•
Electrical noise in local
area.
•
The SMS feature is
turned on.
•
Battery low.
Possible cause
•
The recording time is set
to "Greeting Only".
•
Memory is full (30
minutes or 64 messages).
•
Incorrect remote code
entered.
•
Tone are too short to
activate the unit.
•
The answering system is
off.
Solution
•
Set ringer to one of 6
volume levels.
•
Shorten recording time.
•
Caller ID service must be
arranged with Network
provider.
•
Recharge batteries.
•
Delete unused base
registrations from
handset.
•
Delete unused handset
registrations from base.
•
If PIN number is lost,
contact the Panasonic
Customer Care Helpline.
•
Move base/handset
away from sources of
electrical noise (e.g. TVs,
radios, etc.).
•
Turn the SMS feature off,
if you do not use an SMS
service.
•
Recharge batteries more
than about 15 minutes.
Solution
•
Select "1 Minute" or "No
Limit (see "Answering
System").
•
Erase some or all of the
messages.
•
Enter the correct remote
code.
•
Press each button firmly.
•
Turn on the answering
system.
