MOUNTING
BLOCK
2) When satisfied with the fit of each block,
use 220 grit sandpaper and roughen the surface
of the belly pan where each block will be glued.
Roughening the surface of the fiberglass belly
pan will help strengthen the bond between
the epoxy and the fiberglass and prevent the
blocks from breaking off after they have been
glued in place.
3) Mix up a small amount of Kwik Bond 5
Minute Epoxy. Working with one mounting block
at a time, glue the block into the belly pan and
hold it in place with masking tape. When you
have glued in all four blocks, allow the assembly
to fully cure before proceeding.

INSTALLING THE TRIANGLE SUPPORTS

4) Remove the masking tape from the four
mounting blocks. Trial fit the two balsa triangle
supports (D-33) to the inside edges of each side
of the belly pan. The triangle supports should
also be centered in the belly pan. Use 220 grit
sandpaper with a sanding block to shape the tri-
angle stock to match the contour of the belly pan.
The top edge of the triangle stock should be flush
with the bottom edge of the belly pan. See photo
# 9 below.
